Introduction
to The Druids and Celts
page 4
Druids are also typically homeopathic healers and astrologers. However Druids
are principally the teachers of Truth who assist their aspirants in seeing
the divine spirit within themselves and indeed within all things. Druids use
natural science and experience to verify truths and spiritual development
is an interactive process and not a faith. A triad of the three fundamental
Principles of wisdom is: Obedience to the Laws of God effort for the welfare
of mankind and heroically enduring the unavoidable ills of life.
For more information...
... on Druid teachings there is an excellent list of active organizations
in Drawing Down the Moon by Margot Adler or in Circle Network News a quarterly
newspaper that has listings of Celtic and Druid organizations. As Druids typically
do not write down their teachings in keeping with a time-honored tradition
no books are available by a Druid that describe their teachings. It is suggested
to either write to one of the groups listed in Margot Adler's book or visit
a metaphysical bookstore and ask around to see if there are any Pagan groups
nearby and if there are contact them. As you get to know people in Pagan circles
the Druids will observe you and judge your character. If they feel that you
have the qualities and aptitude to become a Druid then you will be invited
to join their group.
