Christians - An Introduction
The Christians
are multi-denominational, but primarily fall within two main branches,
namely the "Disciples
of Christ," and the "Church of Christ," which
are the oldest and largest of the religious movements indigenous to the
United States. The Christian movement follows the principle that all are
free to read and interpret the Scriptures for themselves; in other words,
there is "no creed but Christ." In practice, any person who
accepts Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior is welcome as a member
of the fellowship. Specific practices of worship vary between individual
churches.
