Unitarian Universalist Association -
An Introduction

The Unitarian Universalist Association's stated purpose is "To cherish and spread the universal truths taught by the great prophets and teachers of humanity in every age and tradition, immemorially summarized in the Judaeo-Christian heritage as love to God and love to man."

The first Universalist congregation was established by former Wesleyan minister John Murray. In 1961 the Universalists merged with the Unitarians to form the Unitarian Universalist Association, which remains a relatively small group of churches.
